A Wish List for SDSU Special Collections

Each year donors contribute significantly to strengthening Special Collections at the San Diego State University Library and Information Access. Are you interested in contributing something to Special Collections? Please see the list below to find out what we’re looking for.

Special Collections is particularly interested in:

  • Original art work by Edward Gorey and Goreyana
  • San Diego Regional History materials, particularly those items that
       document the African American or woman’s experience in San Diego.
  • First edition early works in Astronomy and Horology that are in excellent
       condition
  • Materials documenting the history of printing
  • Artists books
  • Materials relating to John F. Kennedy
  • First edition works in Literature, particularly American literature, Science
       Fiction literature, Children's literature and rare children’s education texts.
  • Materials relating to Peter Neumeyer
  • San Diego State University History (particularly materials that date from
       before 1950)
  • Popular Culture materials (especially zines, sheet music, comics,
       postcards, menu collections, Southern California surf-related books and
       memorabilia)
