Linking to electronic resources
These instructions are for linking directly to a database or ejournal service, not to a journal or article itself.

databases and ejournals publishers page:
http://infodome.sdsu.edu/research/databases/databases.shtml
http://infodome.sdsu.edu/research/databases/fulltext.shtml - Find the database or ejournal publisher of interest in the list
- Right click on the link and select Copy Shortcut
- Paste to destination.
Finding an ejournal or article
- Go to the SDSU Citation Linker and search for your article
- A menu will pop up and tell you if we have the journal electronically for that year.
- Select a database and use the instructions below to link.
- These instructions will only work with databases that provide persistent URLs at the article level. The databases below have been tested and are known to work.
- Use the SDSU Periodicals Locator if you are searching for a specific periodical (as opposed to article).
Make a shorter link
Very long links (over 250 characters) may not fit in software such as Blackboard. You can use the Make a Shorter Link service at http://www.makeashorterlink.com to generate brief URLs. This will only work with persistent URLs.
