Little Theatre
Little Theatre

In the shadow of Hepner Hall is the Little Theatre. Completed in 1930, the Little Theatre shares the Mission Revival theme created by architect Howard Spencer Hazen for the original Quad. It has 170 seats (including the balcony) and a raised stage.

When SDSU relocated to Montezuma Mesa, the Little Theatre became the residence of the drama program. Groups such as the Aztec Theatre Guild used the building for play performances.

As SDSU's dramatic arts program grew, the Little Theatre soon became too small to accommodate the needs of the program. In 1968, the Dramatic Arts Building (now known as Theatre Arts) was completed, and main stage productions, staff and faculty offices, and classes were moved to the new facility.Little Theatre

Television and film faculty currently have offices in the Little Theatre, and the building is also used for student group meetings, ceremonies, lectures, plays, and for showing movies.
